Product Registration Entry - Help Document
Note: If you are using a Microsoft I.E. browser you can improve the
registration entry process by pressing the F11 key before you
start entering any information. Pressing F11 again
will toggle the screen back.
Verify that the default information on the screen is
correct.
Start by entering the 6 digit MODEL number and the
6 digit SERIAL number.
These Numbers are located on the registration card or
on the Serial Number Plate. The Serial Number Plate is a white
sticker located on the unit. It is normally placed within sight
but can be applied under a hood or seat.
Enter the purchaser's full first and last NAME.
At least one STREET address must be entered.
Enter the CITY followed by the postal STATE or Providence Code.
A ZIP code must be entered for a U.S. or Canadian customer.
If the country is other than U.S. - enter the COUNTRY name.
Once you have entered the name and address information, you must
enter the purchasers TELEPHONE number. The purchasers E-MAIL address
is also required. If none is available, enter "none". If you check
the newsletter box, then we will E-Mail the Ariens Newsletter to
that address. This can be benefitial to the purchaser
who would want notification of sales information,
matched accessories, or new product announcements.
The PURCHASE date is required but it does default to todays date.
The USAGE type is also manditory. It defaults to HOME usage
but make sure you change it if it is either COMMERCIAL or RENTAL
(left-click with the mouse to change).
It is necessary for the purchaser to have reviewed the SAFETY related
information in the Operator's Manual. To indicate that you have done so,
click on each of the four safety check boxes. These check boxes are
in liew of a signed form stating you have complied with the documented
safe handling and operating instructions.If you did not receive a manual,
you can download one from the www.ariens.com site.
Marketing would greatly appreciate if you responded to the
survey questions. New product introduction is influenced by these
parameters and advertising to the right audience is very important
to increased sales.
Helpful Notes:
All model and serial numbers are 6 digits long. Always enter lead zeros.
The form has an auto-tab feature. Once the field is filled, the cursor
automatically goes to the next data field.
If you do not have to completely fill a field, use the TAB key
to advance to the next data field. The Shifted-Tab key allows you to go
back one field. If you have to go back a number of fields, it may
be easier to left click on the field you wish to go to.
If you are changing information already entered into a field,
you will have to either delete the previous information
(using the delete key) or press the insert key and key over
the information.
An error is displayed if the ZIP code is not valid for the
STATE or PROVINCE entered.
If a message shows that the unit has already been registered or not produced,
you should first check that the model and serial have been correctly
recorded (and entered). If you are sure and the error seems to be with
our records, you must call us so we can correct our information.
